On my post-work walk I came to a culdesac which had a path through this undeveloped land. I was pretty lucky to find it; at the end of it was a street which took me to the far end of the street I live on, so it turned out to be a good loop.

I went for a walk in my neighborhood after work today, decided to take a close up of these plants that are used in the same fashion as ice plants are used; they just cover up small hillsides. This plant is much better looking than the old ice plants I used to see everywhere. I put up a picture on flickr you can check out if you want to see the scale of these things.

This must have been on our way to Tetanusville. Erin and I got up to this bridge area on our first hike and felt rather exhausted. On subsequent hikes this felt like just the beginning. It's amazing how our bodies adapt. Unfortunately we took good ol' Ivan up past this and down to Tetanusville, and back up and down on his first run with us. This resulted in the wound I mentioned before.

I rather like this shot when viewed in the large size.

This must have been quite a few months ago. Erin and I had been hiking regularly at Will Rogers State Park. Ivan came with us on this trip and we went farther down a particular trail then we had been before. We passed a decrepit house which do well in a horror movie set. A ways down the path we came across this run down structure which had the appearance of an old mental ward. Maybe it used to be a beautiful home in a remote location, but it doesn't appear that way any more.

Poor Ivan hurt his ankle on the way back up the hill, but I believe he has since recovered; at least he claims he did.

Here is a shot I took of the lake, there were some nice ducks nearby and even a mom with her babies. Maybe I can get those pictures up, too.

This is my first post.

I just want to test this out, my sister Heather suggested I make a photo-blog today, so I'm workin' on it. I've got the pictures on my computer, lets see if I can get them up here.
